Update Firmware Nikon D90

I did the update to version 1.10 of the firmware for the D4 like I have done every other firmware update. this time when it got to 5 bars during the update. the screen went black. Seems the latest is C:Ver.1.03. Sadly Nikon has a bad history with firmware updates, with typically only minor bug fixes and no performance enhancements even though they are capable of it since they tend to use the same AF module across many camera models but will reserve improved firmware for performance related stuff for newer models that use the same hardware as previous gen cameras. The bad news, is that the Nikon D90 currently does not support the SDXC memory. Since the physical interface between SDHC and SDXC cards is the same, Nikon might be able to support SDXC in D90 by releasing a firmware update that can read the SD 3.0 specification. The same limit exists on the Pentax cameras that use essentially the same sensor. The sensor's best sensitivity is equivalent to ISO 200, so that's the lowest it will go. Today Nikon released distortion control data upgrade for the D90 and D5000 cameras: “The Distortion Control Data firmware upgrade is available for Nikon D90 and D5000 cameras only. This is used to correct barrel and pincushion distortion during shooting and editing. This may be loaded into cameras that support distortion control.” jg9j7.
